Yeah, I guess taking the new Groove class when you're 10 days out from a show, carb depleted with a head cold isn't the greatest idea. I don't have any idea what possessed me to take this class, except one of the other trainers teaches it and I had a couple of cancellations today. So I said, why not. Well now I know why not! I did ok for about the first 15 mins. This class is all dance steps....some urban, some latin, some hip hop....well after a while I was not even comprehending which way my feet or hips or arms were supposed to be moving. Lol! It was quite a site. So I gave that up, left the class to hit the gym floor.....ahhhhh home! OK. I'm not feeling too creative lately so I just did the same chest/back superset workout as last time with just a little variation. Supersets for chest and back. Another killer workout. Assisted pull ups supersetted with incline db presses pull ups 30 x 12, 12, 10 incline db press 35 x 12, 12, 12 Seated row ss wtih fb db flyes seated row 80 x 12, 12, 12 db fly 25 x 12, 12, 12 Straight arm push down supersetted with Pec Dec push downs 90 x 12, 12, 12 pec dec 70 x 12, 12, 12 High cable rows supersetted with cable crossovers (I like this combo!) high cable row 90 x 12, 12, 12 cable xover 35 x 12, 12, 10 Abs - circuit done three times hanging leg raise 10 x 3 decline bench crunch 13 x 3 bicycles 15 x 3 Finished up a little cardio on the Wave. total cals burned between class and Wave: 198 cals total time for both: 33 mins. Not sure of the ave hr. during class it was like 125, wave was 142 Oh, I was definitely in a mood on my way to work today too. I dunno what was with me. I'm not a bitchy kinda gal. I went to Dunkin Donuts to get coffee. So I order my large with splenda. I get to the window and she hands me a large tea. Usually I'm very polite and nice, but today I just snapped back - I ordered a large coffee with splenda! I think I may have even been foaming at the mouth, lol! So then she goes to hand it to me again and then pulls it back. She said oh did you want flavoring? I'm like WTF! (mind you she barely speaks english!) I'm like NO I DID NOT ORDER FLAVORING! She says "no flavoring"? I yell NO CAN I PLEASE HAVE MY COFFEE?!!! So I leave there grumbling, then I'm passing Wendy's and I see this woman pulling out of the drive through. Fat as hell stuffing her face with french fries. And I'm talking to her. Out loud! I'm in my car past her now, but I'm talking to her. And I'm saying "that's right honey, keep stuffing your fat face with french fries....stupid bitch!" I'm talking to the guy in front of me who's throwing his cigarette butt out the window! I'm losing it! Ha! I'm glad I got to work and had cancellations! I had myself a nice long workout and feel much better now! No more talking to strangers in cars. For today anyway! |
