07-06/11 - 2007 Contest Prep Begins! Quads/Hams



Diet starts today and I'm already hungry, lol! I'm sure my body just needs to adjust after pigging out this weekend.



Quad/ham workout today. It felt good, but avoided heavy squats due to the fact my back was really sore from building a stone patio this weekend.

Leg press 6/4, 2/1 tempo
reps 1 & 2 6/4
reps 3 & 4 2/1
reps 5 & 6 6/4
reps 7 & 8 2/1
420 lbs x 4 sets

Lying leg curl holding contraction at mid point after a full rep
rep 1 - 12 sec hold
rep 2 - 10 sec hold
rep 3 - 8 sec hold
rep 4 - 6 sec hold
rep 5 - 4 sec hold
rep 6 - 2 sec hold
rep 7 - 0 sec hold
80 lbs x 4 sets

squat
95 lbs x 1 set x 20 reps
superset with skier squat for 1 min

SLDL
95 lbx x 1 set x 20 reps
